Proper brushing is the first step to achieving healthy teeth and gums, for this it is important to use a toothpaste with fluoride and a soft toothbrush and should be changed every three months.

One of the simplest techniques is the 2-2 technique, two minutes, twice a day consists of brushing each quadrant of the mouth for 30 seconds (upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left) in the morning and evening.

The position of the toothbrush will vary depending on the area of the tooth being brushed.

Step 1: You start from the bottom up (on the teeth below), or from the top down (on the upper teeth), at a 45-degree angle with movements ranging from the gum to the edge of the tooth. All this on the free faces of the teeth.

Step 2: To brush the occlusal surfaces of the molars, that is, the area with which we chew, it will be necessary to hold the brush in a horizontal position and brush with circular movements.

Step 3: On the back of the incisor teeth, both upper and lower, tilt the brush vertically and make gentle movements from top to bottom or bottom up, always taking your gum as a starting guide.

Step 4: Brush your tongue by performing a sweeping motion from back to front. To clean the missing area between the teeth, it is very important to floss, since for the bristles of the toothbrush it is impossible to reach those areas. Flossing will help remove plaque and food particles between the teeth and under the gum line.

Follow a balanced diet and limit snacks between meals.  Visit the dentist frequently for professional oral cleanings and checkups.
